The Ugoos X4 Pro TV box belongs to solutions at the junction of the middle and advanced class. Manufacturer Ugoos declares that the media player is able to meet the needs of the most demanding “consumers of multimedia content.” The set-top box is based on a 4-core Amlogic S905X4 engine with a G31 MP2 video accelerator. There is also 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage for applications and files. The Ugoos X4 Pro 32GB media player supports today’s popular video decoders, including H.265 and VP9, at the hardware level, so it does an excellent job of playing 4K HDR content (HDR10 is supported here). In general, the “hardware” of the model should be enough not only for watching movies, including those with multi-channel sound, but also for quite demanding games. Good bandwidth when connecting to the Internet is possible both “over the wire” and “over the air”, since there is a gigabit LAN and a Wi-Fi 5 module. The OS is Android 11 with open source and a friendly shell that is adapted to large diagonal TVs. Other features include the presence of USB 3.2 gen1 and the ability to connect an external IR sensor (for hidden installation of the box).
